Weight Update

In the swirling chaos that my life became over the course of the last couple of months, my weight was no longer my top priority. Workouts slipped, I overate to cope with stress, and I wasn't sleeping. So many things in this that made me fall towards worse habits than I deserve.

But over the course of this time, through all the stress and bad habits, my weight didn't increase. It stabilized. That is very reassuring to me. Even in the midst of bad habits, my habits are still good enough that my weight isn't going up. It alleviates the pressure of "how will it be when I'm 153 and trying to maintain my weight?" It seems like an easier challenge now.

Right now, I'm calling my weight 215. I've had several weigh-ins recently which fluctuate from 212 to 216, but 215 seems like a commonly seen number, so I'm saying my last weigh-in counts as 215, and my goal for next Sunday is 213. I'm picking the pieces back up and putting them back together. Sometimes, that's the best way to progress. You learn a lot more about the pieces in their examination.

Also, I'm looking back over previous entries, and found this encouraging line:

"November 5th, 212." That was my goal. And I'll meet that without an issue. My goals became more ambitious since then, but it's good to know I really haven't slipped that much.

Right now, my goal is to reach my ideal weight of 153 somewhere between June 1st and August 31st of 2010. This should be doable without much difficulty. And then I'll be pretty!
